The Klipfell Family Announces the Sale of the Assets of Broadview Mini-Storage LLC to Public Storage

Our family thanks its customers, past and present, for their business, friendship and support over the years.

It is with a degree of sadness that the Klipfell Family, the owners of Broadview Mini-Storage LLC (BMS) announce the sale of the assets of BMS to Public Storage.  Based in Glendale, California, and with more than 2,000 locations, Public Storage is the largest operator of mini-storage facilities in the United States.  It is a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) whose stock is included in the S&P 500 stock market index.

“The decision to sell Broadview Mini-Storage was a very difficult one for my wife and me”, stated BMS Managing Member, John M. Klipfell III, “made especially difficult by the fact that our son, John, has worked at and managed the site for the past 19 years and has enjoyed the friendship of our many customers.”

“Effective, Thursday, December 1, 2016, the ownership of the land, buildings, tenant rental agreements, and other assets of BMS will pass to Public Storage, which will put in place new management at the facility”, continued Klipfell.  “Our family's experience to date working with Public Storage has been good and we trust that your customer experience with Public Storage will also be a good one.  Sincere thanks again for your past support of our family's business as well as your friendship to our son John, who has managed our business over the last 19 years.”
